Homebuyers happier than ever with real estate companies

A recent study shows that homebuyers are increasingly happy with the experiences they have with real estate companies.
This is good news for real estate agents, but they may want to work on their approach with home sellers. The J.D Power and Associates 2010 Home Buyer/Seller Study found that even though more homebuyers are satisfied with real estate companies, the same isn't true for the property's sellers.
On a 1,000-point scale, satisfaction among home sellers dropped by 40 points this year compared to 2009, the survey found. They were the most displeased with the variety of additional services offered and the marketing of the home.
J.D. Power and Associates real estate and construction practice senior director Jim Howland said the role real estate agents play has become of greater importance. This is because "buyers are increasingly relying upon negotiating skills of agents and seem to be satisfied with the purchase prices they are obtaining."
To increase consumer satisfaction, real estate agents might want to consider offering up home selling tips for property owners. It's a tough market and every advantage counts.
