The Houston region's education system is first-rate. From "pre-K to grey," learning opportunities in the region offer every subject specialization across all learning levels. Houston's education highlights include:

• More than 60 colleges, universities and other degree-granting institutions, including Rice University, University of St. Thomas, and the University of Houston
